Inches are not Inches

Any carpenter or woodworker will tell you a 1 by 3 by 8 is none of the above. For some reason this is an accepted practice in lumber. If I was a good writer I’d come up with a deep metaphor about the cumulative effect of shaving quarter inches but I’m not so you’re on your own to figure that out. Fortunately this was just a tray for a midi keyboard.

Measure twice and then measure twice kids.

Goodnight Sweet Prince

My girlfriend left Orlando for a Columbia program in NYC in 2010 maybe 11 and I can’t say for sure but I think I was pretty close to getting a job at RXP. Then while in a pd meeting in Orlando All Access broke the news that RXP was sold to Merlin. I was gutted…took everything I had not to lose it. Flash forward a year and change and I’m in her upper west side apartment when I read on All Access that Walt Sabo had been blown out as head of Merlin, they were resetting and looking for a creative services director. I had reached out to Walt earlier and it did not go well so I sent what I thought was a pretty cold email to the job contact. That connection changed the trajectory of my life. Some of my best friends came out of that connection. One is married and has a family because of that connection. What All Access did transcended radio, music and business. Thank you Joel Denver.

All Access Closing Shop

Made from scratch

Jessica Pawli asked about writing and I had to think about it which isn’t good. It’s kind of a weird cycle where I realize it starts with the writing but get mad about it and try to change that only to get frustrated and start writing.
